Best Performance Smartphones of 2016

We cannot claim that smartphone performance tells everything, but with the rise of APP and large 3D games, performance score has become an important factor for users to consider when buying new smartphones. There were many new smartphones released in 2016. Which smartphone is the best of 2016 with Antutu Benchmark? Now Antutu reveals our annual report of Best Performance Smartphones of 2016. Come and check with us.

This time in order to provide you with more accurate ranking results, Antutu has made great efforts to optimize the score data of 2016. We removed some cheating scores that were extraordinarily high, and some incomplete scores resulting from unexpected closing during the test. In particular, we introduced a new factor, score stability, as a new reference factor of our scores in our summary. With regard to score variance caused by the use of different running modes such as balance mode and performance mode, we analyzed the data and decided to maintain the score variants. Therefore, there may be some changes in the annual ranking result of 2016 compared to the ranking results released earlier in 2016. We will release the list of top 10 smartphones with the most stable scores in the future to help our users better understand the performance of smartphones.
Statistical rules:
1.Score: all the scores in the lists are average scores, not the highest ones (the actual running results may fluctuate, which is a normal phenomenon).
2.Period of data statistics: from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016
3.Data amount: at least 2000 data sample for a single model.

According to the above chart of Top 10 performance Smartphones of 2016, the best performance smartphone of 2016 is iPhone 7 Plus, followed by iphone 7 and OnePlus 3T. It’s generally known that the chip of a smartphone directly determines the performance of a smartphone. From the list of top 10 performance smartphones of 2016, we can see that the top 10 positions were mainly occupied by the smartphones that were released in the next half of 2016. iPhone 7 is powered by A10 processor while the top performance Android smartphones are generally powered by Snapdragon 821 processor with vivo Xplay 6 and OnePlus 3 powered by Snapdragon 820 processor.
Because this time the performance list includes both Android smartphones and iOS smartphones, we also included separate lists based on different operating systems to help you better understand the list. First let’s have a look at the iOS list.
The second-ranked iPhone 7 Plus and the third-ranked iPhone 7 went to the market in September. The two models are both powered by A10 processor, which adopted the new quad-core design with which the CPU clock speed improved to 2.4GHz and GPU performance has also been improved, therefore the two models both got a Antutu score of over 170,000. Thanks to the iOS system and excellent system optimization, users can enjoy excellent system experience and smooth 3D gaming experience when using the two models.

While the scores of iOS devices are generally high, the performance of Android devices is not bad either. Let’s have a look at the Top 10 Performance Android Smartphones.

There might exist serious homogenization of smartphones in mobile market in 2016, but it is undeniable that many excellent designs and technologies have been applied in the past year, which accelerated the iteration of smartphones. New models constantly updated the results of the performance ranking lists and the gap between Android smartphones and iOS smartphones is becoming smaller. The competition in mobile market has entered into a new stage of technology innovation in which manufacturers begin to attract users by better designs, and the consumption of users in turn promoted the innovation of smartphones. We hope that more innovative products will go to the mobile market in 2017.
